Are you licensed?
Yes as a Home for the Aged. We adhere to and follow the rules and regulations set forth for the Aged. A resident must be 60 years or older to reside here.
How are you staffed?
We have a Dietary Dept, Maintenance Dept., Clinical Dept and Housekeeping Dept. The clinical department has Nurse on Monday through Friday, 8a-5p, and we employ nurses, medical assistants, CNAs, and CENAs. The Nurse is on call 24/7.Many of our managers are crossed trained.
Do you have a physician on call?
All the residents maintain their own physicians and they are always on call for their patients. We do have a doctor that comes in here to see his patients.
What is the cost and what is included?
Cost depends on level of care and the size of the room. All meals, housekeeping, linen and laundry service and personal assistance is included. Medications are given but the cost of their medication is the resident responsibility. In addition, the beauty shop, news paper is also the resident’s responsibility. Telephone is included except for long distance calls. These calls will show up on the monthly invoice.
Must the resident come to dining room for meals?
Yes, unless they are ill. We also cook low salt and low in fat to assist those with specific medical conditions. And we always invite family to join the residents during meals! Family members incur a $5 fee or a $10-$15 fee during Holiday Meals. (we do enjoy some notice if possible)
Can the resident have snacks in the room?
Yes, but they must be in airtight container. Residents may have small refrigerators in the room but no microwaves.
What about birdbaths, feeders outside their window?
Yes, just be careful not to put into sprinkler system
Are cars allowed? Can you come and go as you please?
Yes they may have their own cars. Residents may come and go as they please, ut please sign out at the nurses station.
Air conditioning?
We maintain 72-74 degrees in the summer If resident likes it cooler we can a unit in their room. This is an additional charge per season and we install $250.00
Do you provide Physical Therapy?
We use in home health agencies like Pennock Home Health.
Activities?
Yes, we have 2-3 per day Monday through Friday which includes bingo, card games, exercise, volleyball and other activities. There is a bible study on Thursday afternoon church services on Sunday.
Do you take Alzheimer patients?
We will do an assessment of each person with dementia. We have people with short term memory issues but are not wandering and leaving the building. Carveth is not a locked unit.
Are we required to sign a long term contract?
Carveth requires you to sign a contract and to give us a 30 day notice. If you do not and you just decide you are leaving because you are unhappy here then you will be responsible for a months rent. Independent units require 60 days notice.
How often do you check on residents?
At night every (2) hours or as required. During the daytime staff is always in the room(s)
What about security?
The doors are alarmed at night and we have security cameras.

Assisted Living

At Carveth Village, we offer assisted living units that have companion suites for couples, along with medium and small private rooms furnished with a bed and nightstand. The rooms are spacious and can be decorated with personal items to truly make it “home”. Carveth’s caring, professional staff provide help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, ambulation, and medication supervision. Each resident is assessed and care plans are developed to determine the level of assistance needed. All meals, housekeeping, laundry, and linen is included in the monthly rent. Dining in The “Grille” at Carveth is an enjoyable experience and permits the resident to order from a menu for all three meals.

At Carveth Village, we offer the ultimate in independent retirement living, private apartments. Each apartment is beautifully designed with fully equipped kitchens plus a washer/dryer, private patio, individual air-conditioning, internet, and cable television. All utilities and meals are included in the monthly rent. Other amenities such as house keeping can be purchased. The main foyer with fireplace and small coffee/beverage center invites a wonderful place to entertain friends and families.
